Cherlyn Michaels originally self-published Counting Raindrops through a Stained Glass Window in January 2004 and it was re-released through Hyperion Books in September, 2005. She was a 2003 Shades of Romance Magazine Best New Multicultural Author of the Year and nominated for the African American Literary Awards Show Open Book Award for Best Self-Published Author of the Year for 2004. Her current release, First Fridays, is her second novel. 

Michaels is a member of the advisory board for the annual Big Read event (www.bigread.net), held in St. Louis, MO. She is a writer for an online urban motorcycle magazine, Urbanburnout.com, and a board member of the #1 Stunnas Motorsports Club. Cherlyn is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (www.deltasigmatheta.org). She is She currently resides in St. Louis, Missouri and is currently working on her third novel.
